David Abse - Painters

I am an anglo-Welsh artist living in southern France, in the town of Les Matelles, 10 miles to the north of Montpellier. I paint in acrylic (and sometimes inks and watercolours), draw with ink and also do etching and screen printing. I have a degree in Printmaking from the University of Wolverhampton, and have exhibited my work in group shows in the UK (Including at the Bradford Print Biennale), Poland and Japan. I have exhibited also in the Leigh Gallery in London, and have had work shown at the Francis Kyle gallery.

My work now includes a series of paintings of Pic Saint Loup, a mountain which rises out of the Hérault plains and dominates the local landscape - offering so many views, perspectives, colours, and legends.
