Alastair Campbell-Binning - Painters
I was born in Surrey in 1958 and studied art at the West Surrey College of Art and Design in Farnham, and at Richmond-upon-Thames College in London.I have lived and worked in Scandinavia where I sold a number of works privately, concentrating mainly on figurative landscapes.
Since returning to England I have been working for a number of years as a watercolour artist for a major Fine-Art engraving company. This work mainly consists of the copying by eye of period prints.
On a personal level I have recently been involved in a project relating to the author Thomas Hardy. At present I am concentrating on landscapes (figurative to abstract/figurative), being particularly interested in the connection between line space and mood.
My work is currently being exhibited in the Minstrel's Gallery, Bridport, Dorset.
